Crocus ‘Queen Bee’ bears striking bi-coloured blooms in contrasting burgundy and gold. This Snow Crocus is one of the very earliest to flower, defying winter chills and bravely pushing its head above bare soil in February to catch the first rays of spring sunshine. It is always a cheery sight, and once planted, these bulbs will go on forever, spreading more rapidly than the larger Dutch varieties to form carpets of jewel-like blooms in lawns, beneath trees and shrubs and snaking through borders. They also make a lovely addition to spring planters and window boxes where they can be appreciated up close. Height: 15cm (6in). Spread: 5cm (2in).
