Cyclamen are treasured for their dainty, windswept blooms that emerge when few other species dare to. Bracing themselves against the cold, Cyclamen coum flowers in January and February, while Cyclamen hederifolium waits until the late autumn. Both produce a carpet of dark mossy-green foliage, overlaid with silvery marbling that makes an eye-catching display. These tough little tubers thrive in the dappled shade of deciduous trees and shrubs, but are equally happy in full sun, dotted through the rockery! Height: 10cm (4″). Spread: 15cm (6″).
Cyclamen Bulbs Collection comprises 2 tubers each of:
- Cyclamen hederifolium – Delicate pink flowers with reflexed petals in the autumn.
- Cyclamen coum – Dainty pink blooms in the depths of winter, make a cheery companion for Snowdrops, Crocus and other early species.
- Cyclamen coum subsp. coum f. pallidum ‘Album’ – Dazzling white petals with a flush of violet at the centre of each bloom create a mesmerising display.
