Oxalis are fascinating little alpines with bright funnel-shaped blooms in late summer and autumn. This collection brings together 3 intriguing varieties, each with their own distinctive appearance. ‘Gothenburg’ and versicolor are half-hardy and best grown indoors or in a heated greenhouse. ‘Ken Aslet’ can be grown outdoors to great success in a sheltered position.

• Oxalis versicolor – A half-hardy alpine with the most fascinating buds, like striped candy canes! Height: 10cm (4″) Spread: 20cm (8″).
• Oxalis hirta ‘Gothenburg’ – This half-hardy variety boasts small grey-green leaves and large, well-defined, bright pink blooms that appear in autumn. Height and spread: 20cm (8″).
• Oxalis melanosticta ‘Ken Aslet’ – A hardy variety with golden flowers that emerge in late summer to bring a splash of colour to the rockery. Height: 10cm (4″). Spread: 45cm (18″).
